Hana made her debut record ‘Soonʼ outside, in still moments after bushfires and wild storms had raged through her home in the Australian bush. Completely isolated with just her beloved cows and a few instruments; recording “Soon” became a way to digest grief alongside natures chorus. Hana has been likened to artists such as Grouper, Vasti Bunyan, The
Microphones and Alex G. Soon has been played on radio by Chicagoʼs KRANKY label, Cillian Murphyʼs BBC6 show and Maria Somervilleʼs NTS show to name a few. Hana has a dedicated fanbase, spread worldwide. Soon sold out of all records within a week of her release and Spotify has tallied over 2 million plays just since her release in January. At live shows, you can see Hana playing classical guitar, percussion, tape loops, drone and building imaginary choirs.
